ANGRY MINUTE #0034: Overweight Obsession
I’m a small guy, maybe a buck fifty on a good day. I have never been a big person, and a majority of my life I have felt unhealthy. Not because I actually WAS unhealthy, but because my small size made me FEEL unhealthy. So I took charge of my life, placed myself on a training regiment, and after three years I am happy to report I have gained some healthy weight and have even ran in three different marathons.
That is what I like to call “good weight”. I am by no means overweight, but I was definitely underweight before I began gaining weight. Some people have this perception that gaining weight is always a bad thing; that is just retarded. Gaining weight can sometimes be as healthy as losing weight.
Now I know we have a weight problem in our country, but the truth is some people can’t help it. Big people are born each day, and their bodies are made in a way that makes them be bigger. I have plenty of “husky” friends and they live very healthy lives… they are just big is all. They run marathons with me, they eat great balanced diets, and they have even removed fats and sugars from their daily lives. It doesn’t make them unhealthy to be bigger, it’s just the way they are and as long as they live a healthy life that is all I can ask and wish for them.
But sometimes, sometimes a person who is overweight gets the idea that it would be a great idea to gain MORE weight, just for the sake of being bigger and bigger. That, to me, is INSANITY!
Where is the Anger boiling from? RIGHT HERE!
Donna Simpson of New Jersey is bigger then most. She tips the scales at a little over 600lbs! That’s a pretty big woman, until you realize that she wants to gain MORE weight. This crazy woman wants to be the Fattest Person EVER. She wants to tip the scales at 1000lbs! HOLY COW INDEED!!!!
Now I’m not too sure what goes through a person’s mind when they make a life altering decision like this, but I bet it is similar to a heroin addict who NEEDS to score that needle and juice. You know Mama Douchebag always told me, “I don’t care what you do in life, just as long as you are the best at what you do.” I wonder if Donna’s mother feels the same.
So what is the “big” deal? Why am I grinding the “fat” here? What do I have a “huge” problem with this woman’s personal decision?
The truth is her decision is NOT personal, and someone needs to step in. Because of her increased weight Donna will be susceptible to more doctor’s visits, be at higher risk for disease, and will probably eventually die because of her hefty weight. And because of her “illness” this will most likely be paid for by taxpayers. Because lets be serious; what insurance company is gonna insure her? And even if she did get insured the premiums would be outrageous!
Society, doctors, and pretty much everyone who is sane agrees that this woman is killing herself. Yet we sit here and not only ALLOW it, but we help PAY for it with our tax dollars. Her main income is used to pay the 12,000 calories she ingests DAILY. So when she starts getting the onset of diabetes, or her heart starts to fail, or a chicken leg gets stuck in her esophagus; WHO do you think will need to pay for her help to “stay alive”? It will be Jane and Joe taxpayer to the rescue.
To me this is the equivalent of keeping a suicidal person alive who continues to commit attempted suicide daily. Even after we save their life they run right back to jumping out of windows and popping loads of prescription pills to “end it all”. They have no respect for life or those around them, and in some sort of selfish retaliation they take it out of the world with their inappropriate actions.
What ever happened to being healthy just for the sake of being healthy? I don’t give two shits if a person is “overweight” to be honest; but I do care that they attempt to take better care of themselves. But Donna just spits in our faces. Hell she even has created a website so people can watch her EAT and get FATTER! THIS IS THE FRAKEN WORLD WE NOW LIVE IN PEOPLE!!!!!
Is it just me that is angered by Donna’s actions? Or do you find that this is perfectly acceptable behavior? I know weight is a touchy subject but I am genuinely interested in what you guys think. Comment below and let the AngryFANatics know what you think of this super weight gain. Is it OK to gain weight? If so what is “too much”? I’m real curious on how I see this issue vs how you guys will see it. So keep them comments coming!!!
