Angry Minute I’m an American, which means by nature I don’t like Soccer. Its not that the sport isn’t “good” (though it isn’t), it’s that I don’t enjoy it. I enjoy sports like Gridiron (aka American Football) and Pro-Wrestling. Gridiron and Pro-Wrestling keep my interest because there are many breaks and the action is really broken up into turns or segments. Soccer (like Basketball, Hockey, and Rugby) is not really turn or segment based but play until the end of the quarter/half/period/whatever. Atleast with Football I get 15-30sec of action and then a break. See I got that ADHD or ADD but when I was growing up we just called that “being active”. I think many Americans are the same way as we want quick bursts of action and not 45min of gameplay.
So you would think, especially with the World Cup and the USA Soccer Team being all the rage this year, that FIFA and all them Soccer nuts (or is it balls?) would want to try their hardest to attract new fans to their sport. I should be a prime candidate because I have disposable income (to an extent) and I am interested in getting into new trends (I watched a few of the NHL Playoffs this year and found myself enjoying what I was seeing).
But FIFA just keeps dropping the proverbial (and literal) ball.
Exhibit A: 06/18/10 Referee disallows goal by the Americans without an explanation
Exhibit B: 06/27/10 Referee disallows goal by the English even thought the shot clearly crossed the goal line
In Exhibit A we have what seems to be a mis-call. The referee may have been out of position or maybe he needs glasses. Whatever the case FIFA would surly answer why the call was made… right? Well no, FIFA’s head referee just brushes the incident off by saying, “We cannot explain every single decision.” Ummm as referees isn’t it your JOB to explain your decisions? That’s like a cop giving me a ticket for no reason and then when I ask why he just shrugs and goes, “I cannot explain every ticket I write.” WHAT THE FRAK!!!!
In Exhibit B, only 9 days later, we see ANOTHER blown call by ANOTHER referee. This time FIFA President Sepp Blatter apologized. Well good, glad you can see there is a problem here Mr. President. Heck he even apologizes for a THIRD blown call that Mexico suffered against Argentina that got no real press here in the states. So we are up to three big calls that cost teams HUGE wins in this “respected” tournament. Yeah, respected like a Filipino hooker (and those are never respected).
Heck Blatter (hope he’s not full) seems to brush this all off and say they will talk about it later. Well Mr. President later is TOO LATE for you.
You want me to watch your sport, then you need to make me atleast believe the sport is fair. So many blown calls in such a short time shows me that this sport is nothing more then shit piled onto piss. You could have corrected this mistake after the fact but to let such blatant and flagrant errors just stand is such bullshit. You spit in the face of everyone who watches soccer AND you even spit in the faces of those fans that might even be interested in getting into your sport.

Your sport sucks and unless you are a young school aged child there is zero reason to play it. Your “hero” David Beckham is an asshole, your referees are untrained and make horrid calls, and you just expect the world to accept this and keep kicking your balls?? FRAK THAT! I will not be treated like I’m retarded! You made a mistake, and then another, and then ANOTHER and all these mistakes had proof of their misdeeds yet you let them stand and continue on like nothing is happening? Well nothing is happening because you and your sport are dead to me. Soccer is a sissy bitch ass game and I’m calling you ALL out on your bullshit. So go FRAK OFF!
FRAK SOCCER! FRAK SEPP BLATTER! FRAK FIFA! Soccer is a kid’s game, so go play with yourselves and stay off my Television!

Angry Minute In AMERICA I feel we should have some rights, but it seems like there are those who wish to take those invaluable rights away. A wise man once said, “He who sacrifices freedom for security deserves neither.” His name was Benny Franklin and he believed in AMERICA! He believed in the freedom of speech and he believed in the law of the land.
I’m sorry Mr. Franklin. America keeps taking a huge dump on your grave. Just SEE THIS ARTICLE and you too will see the dumping in progress.
So what’s the big deal? 5 high school students in California decide to wear t-shirts with the American flag on them, IN AMERICA. Oh no, the HORROR!!! But people are getting pissy about this because they did it on May 5th, some sort of Mexican Holiday that most Americans celebrate just for the fact it gives us another reason to drink (ala St Patrick’s Day and Feb 13th). But since they are in California and the school has a high volume of Latinos these boys were instructed they MUST remove their American wears or be SUSPENDED?!?! WHAT THE FRAK?!?!
So why am I so ANGRY? Well let’s go to the ever so popular LIST OF ANGER to dissect this injustice.

LIST OF ANGER – TOP 3:
1. Freedom of Expression: In December 1965 a few brave individuals decided to show their distain for the Vietnam War by wearing black armbands to school. The school suspended them, but these freedom fighters stood their ground and presented their case to the Supreme Court. And it was ruled that wearing an armband was quiet and passive and was not disruptive and did not impinge upon the rights of others (Tinker v. Des Moines). Wearing a t-shirt of the American Flag on ANY DAY should be allowed here in AMERICA. These students were silently protesting and THEY HAVE THAT RIGHT! For a school administrator to DEMAND the removal of non-offensive clothing is, well, offensive. Especially when that school administrator is of LATINO decent.
2. American Pride = Anti-Mexican?: When did the American Flag start standing as an anti-Mexican symbol? It is being reported that Latino students were “offended” that an AMERICAN student would wear an AMERICAN T-shirt on AMERICAN soil during a Mexican holiday. Whatever happened to the Pledge of Allegiance? What ever happen to being American and being PROUD of it? Who says that wearing an American symbol on a Mexican holiday makes us Anti-Mexican? Would wearing a Jewish shirt on Christmas be deemed Anti-Jesus? Would wearing a Vin Diesel shirt to a Sylvester Stallone movie be considered Anti-Rambo? When the New Orleans Saints won the Super Bowl I was wearing a Pro-Wrestling T-Shirt; did that make me Anti-Football? See how ridiculous this shit is?
3. Choosing Heritage: I’m glad people have pride for their heritage, but if you think your heritage is BETTER then AMERICA you need to GET THE FRAK OUT! I have pride in my Irish heritage, but if someone wore an American Flag on St Patty’s Day I wouldn’t be offended… actually I WOULD BE HAPPY AND START A USA CHANT!!! My ancestors loved Ireland, but they left because they wanted to make a better life HERE IN AMERICA (and they came here LEGALLY). I have pride for ALL MY HERITAGE not just the past. If the past was so great why don’t you go back? Oh that’s right because IT IS BETTER HERE! SO SHUT THE FRAK UP!

I believe these kids were in the right to wear American clothing regardless of their reason and as such I am tired of hearing the bitching and complaining from all Mexicans on this matter. I’m tired of the number of illegals that currently taking AMERICAN jobs, I’m tired of the illegal drugs that are grown and then smuggled in from Mexico that our children are dying off of, and I’m tired of the illegal rapings and killings that the Mexican culture has embraced on a daily basis. Seems like every time we speak about Mexico it always involves the word ILLEGAL. You want to have Mexican pride, go right ahead, but DON’T TREAD ON MY AMERICAN PRIDE! Else you can get the FRAK out of my country.
